A Chance To Be Born And Be Great
A Chance To Be Born And Be Great is a program designed to prevent school dropouts in pregnant or teenage mothers, focusing on their educational development so that they don’t lose sight of a successful future.
The support services provided in our centers are completely free. If you need another type of service that is not offered at one of our centers, the cost will be notified to you in advance.
Program requirements:
- 2 years old or younger
- Be pregnant and/or raising children under 3 years old
- Live in any of the following counties: Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough
This program will help:
- Create goals for a successful future
- Set and drive their dreams
- Find and reinforce their strengths
- Help in handling difficult situations
- Getting an education
Topics to be discussed:
- Your goals
- Taking care of yourself
- Taking care of your baby
- Healthy relationships
- Family planning and safe sex
- Education and job/career building
How the program works:
After registering, a Casa Esperanza Pregnancy Service Center representative will coordinate a home visit with the participant.
The “A Chance To Be Born And Be Great” program is voluntary, but it is intended for the participant to stay with us until the newborn reaches 3 years old. In this time, they will be attending a variety of in-house career and personal care workshops, enroll in any vocational programs or high school, and even receive job placement training if desired.
This will give them the time and attention they deserve to truly create a life plan. At Casa Esperanza Pregnancy Service Center, we are confident that they will leave prepared and trained with new tools to face any new challenges.
